The Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) is the premier body for management consulting firms both globally and across the United States. Its annual awards are independently judged with the identity of the consulting firm and its clients remaining un-named throughout the assessment process of a firm’s recent project work. The Awards recognise ‘leadership, excellence and value’ among the leading international consulting firms in the global management consulting profession.

‘For our teams to win this award for our work internationally and against the most established global brands in consulting, is a very rewarding moment for our consultants and clients in the US, Asia, Latin America and Europe,’ said James Edsberg, Senior Partner of Gulland Padfield. ‘Everyone at Gulland Padfield has worked hard to pioneer new ideas in our specialist area of Client Strategy and to challenge constructively the old ways the consulting industry thinks about the Banking sector and its client & customer strategy. Our work with some of the leading Commercial and Business Banks and Private Banks has helped strengthen their profitability and performance through a laser-like focus on aligning their Operations and People to their Clients and Customers. When a banking institution focuses on its Client Strategy, we’ve demonstrated how that effort translates into higher revenues, stronger margins and more loyal clients.’

Gulland Padfield was acknowledged for its project work with a leading global bank ranked by Forbes magazine as one of ‘America’s Best Banks’.

Client & Customer Engagement Award: Finalist and Runner-up
The award in this category was given to a management consultancy which has worked with an institution, ‘...to improve its overall client experience, including its client and customer strategy, client service approach, channel management, customer relationship management, sales effectiveness, marketing strategy, product development or category/product management.’

Advice in a Developing Market Award: Winner
This award category recognises ‘... the successful delivery of a project in a developing market by a US and/or global consulting team... supporting client activity and expansion, improving existing client businesses and demonstrating the overcoming of cultural and geographic barriers.’
‘Entering a new market for any bank is a major challenge. When that market is also a dynamic and developing economy, there’s an added dimension of complexity that needs to be considered,’ said Gurpreet Garcha, Partner in Gulland Padfield’s Banking team and who led the Market Entry project for a major Banking group . ‘Our starting point on projects like these is to begin, as we always do, with a deep analysis of the end-customer and building all other aspects of the Client Strategy and Business Strategy on that solid foundation. I am delighted that our team’s work in Asia and in other developing countries in Asia and Latin America is recognised.’

In a year that marked record-high submissions for the awards, the President & COO of AMCF, Sally Caputo said, ‘We would like to congratulate Gulland Padfield on this award. As the global association for management consulting, the AMCF is uniquely positioned to recognize and honor the achievements of consulting teams and their commitment to their clients.
